Nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside, Gaddesden Row Guide Centre is the perfect place for quiet adventure.

Built in 1885, our tin tabernacle was originally a mission church. In 1977 Brownies and Guides in West Division saved pennies in Smarties tubes to raise fund for the lease. More fundraising, and hard work from the community meant that in 1989 Gaddesden Row Guide Centre as able to open it’s doors as a holiday home for members of Girlguiding.

We are currently in a period of modernisation at the Centre, with a focus on sustainability, accessibility and longevity.

The Centre is managed by a team of volunteers.
