We are pleased to announce that we are dedicating the next 2 years to refurbishing Gaddesden Row Guide Centre to ensure its legacy continues for a long time to come.
The Centre was secured in 1977 through fundraising by Brownies and Guides, with volunteers and parents giving their time to turn the old mission church into the holiday home we know it as today. The time has come to bring it up to date to ensure we can continue to provide a safe, welcoming and low cost holiday option for Girlguiding members both locally and from further afield.
We have a 2 phase renovation plan - the first being implemented for March 2025 with a fresh new look, kitchen renovation and improvement, outdoor space to include Enchanted Woodland and play equipment plus introduction of hireable activities. Our second phase to be implemented in 2026 will include repainting the outside of the Centre, updating our bathroom facilities, improving disabled access and insulation of our buildings.
To do this work we have a huge fundraising task ahead - in the region of £100k and we need your help! Below are a number of ways you can get involved - together we can make it happen!
